Suspension Training

Suspension Training is a form of resistance training that includes bodyweight exercises in which a variety of multi-planar, compound exercise movements can be performed. These are done with the aim of developing strength, balance, flexibility, and joint stability simultaneously. Suspension Training leverages gravity and the patient's body weight to perform hundreds of exercises. Working with each patient the Level Eleven therapists can simply adjust the patient's body position to add or decrease resistance and stability.

  • May help adjacent muscle groups to work together in a synergistic fashion, or as a single unit
  • Core stability, balance, and coordination demands seen in almost every exercise
  • Therapist can implement just a few dynamic exercises to achieve activation of all major muscle groups
